The Guardian has, in collaboration with Levente Littvay, associate professor in the CEU Political Science Department, one of our former PhD students, Bruno Castanho Silva, Kirk Hawkins and Nina Wiesehomeier, developed a survey that tells you how populist you are. This survey is an important product of the Comparative Populism Intellectual Themes Initiative at CEU, lead by Erin Jenne, professor in the CEU Department of International Relations.

Bela Greskovits Receives Danubius Award

This year the Danubius Award was awarded to Bela Greskovits. The award was established in 2011 by the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science and Resesearch and the Institute for Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM). The prize was awarded at the Danube Rectors' Conference in Bratislava on November 8. The award goes to people who have excellently dealt with their scientific research or work in the context of the Danube Region.

Winners of the 2017/18 Alumni Fund Scholarship Award

It is our great pleasure to announce the winners of our PolSci Alumni Fund Scholarship for 2017/18. Our departmental committee joined by alumni had a difficult time in selecting the winners.Let us congratulate all applicants, each of them came up with very innovative and engaging ideas on how to promote the department and our recruitment efforts.

Given the very good applications, the department has decided to split the award. This year’s winner is Boris Lipovina and the runner up is Benedict Stefani, both from our two-year program.
