We are proud to share that Alexandra Niculae, a second-year MA student in Political Science at CEU, recently participated in the ASN 2025 World Convention, co-hosted by the Harriman Institute at Columbia University in New York City.
Alexandra presented her paper titled “Crusader of the Orthodox Nation: Copying the Hungarian Populist Instrumentalization of Religion in Romania” as part of the Religious and National Minorities panel.
The ASN (Association for the Study of Nationalities) World Convention is one of the foremost academic gatherings focused on nationalism, ethnicity, and identity in Eastern Europe and beyond, attracting scholars from around the world.
Alexandra’s participation highlights the strength and relevance of CEU student research on contemporary global issues. We congratulate her on this achievement and look forward to seeing her continued contributions to the field.
