Ildar Daminov graduated from the one-year Master's program in the Political Science Department and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Relations (CEU), specializing in the Comparative International Political Economy track.
Ildar shared his experience as an MA student and how the program helped him prepare for his Ph.D. studies:
The master's program provides strong methodological training and opportunities for thematic specialization in various subfields of political science. It also offers excellent networking opportunities, allowing you to connect with and work alongside renowned scholars in comparative politics, political economy, and political theory.
Personally, I built my Ph.D. project upon my MA thesis and received considerable support from faculty members as well as senior Ph.D. students already studying at CEU. I would say there are four reasons why someone should apply to the Political Science Department at CEU: academic rigor, amazing people, financial and professional support, and educational prestige.
