Alessandra Oshiro, a one-year MA student from Peru, chose the Political Science program at CEU because of substantial financial aid and its strong focus on methods. So far, she enjoyed most the course Introduction to Theoretical and Applied Statistics by professor Mariyana Angelova.
As the PS program is quite demanding, Alessandra tries to improve her time management skills. She says that keeping her work-life balance and not feeling overwhelmed is her biggest struggle right now. But living in the beautiful city of Vienna definitely helps her stay positive.
Alessandra hopes that PS studies will help her to learn how to do empirical research and to apply it alongside her philosophy background. Her plan for the future is to apply for a PhD.
