Information Regarding Academic Year 2020/21

July 23, 2020

We are open for Academic Year 2020/21 and will start your program as planned, with your health, safety and wellbeing as our top priority.

In response to Covid-19, like other higher education institutions around the world, Central European University moved teaching and learning online for the Spring Term. Faculty worked together to adapt and redesign the delivery of our programs to enable our students to emerge with the best possible foundation for their careers and further study.

As we move towards Academic Year 2020/21, we continue to monitor the situation very carefully and are committed - subject to governmental restrictions and the safety of our employees and students at all time, including social distancing requirements - to learning and teaching on our Vienna and Budapest campuses if at all possible. However, with the pandemic continuing to have a huge impact globally, Fall Term 20/21 (September to December) will only involve campus-based learning if safe to do so. Should this safety be at all in question, our classes will be held either wholly or partially online, with our faculty having spent the summer preparing to do so, to ensure the fullest possible learning experience for all our students. You will continue to learn from world class experts, and be part of our global community.

We understand that the current situation is difficult and that you may have real concerns about your future studies and your next steps.

At CEU, we are here to support you so you can succeed in your ambitions and enjoy your student experience.

Please look out for emails from our student services teams and from your own department. Department websites have program-specific information.
