On April 11, the Political Science Department hosted a special conference to honor the remarkable work and legacy of Prof. László Bruszt, a long-time faculty member.

The event, titled Transforming Borders: Rethinking Post-Socialist Transitions, State-Market Dynamics, and European Integration, was organized by the Political Economy Research Group and brought together a vibrant community of colleagues, students, and alumni. Throughout the day, participants engaged in stimulating discussions, shared heartfelt tributes, and reflected on Prof. Bruszt’s profound impact on the field of political economy.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us in person and online to celebrate his enduring influence on our academic community. His legacy continues to guide and inspire future generations of political economy scholars.
