CEU Moves up the 2021 QS World University Rankings

According to the 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject, two CEU programs rank amongst the top 50 worldwide, with a further 3 in the top 100.

CEU President and Rector Michael Ignatieff said, “We are delighted by our improved Global Ranking in 1 Broad Subject Area and in 3 Subjects.”

In Politics and International Studies, CEU rose in the QSS rankings, from 30 to 25, and in Philosophy from 37 to 35.

CEU also ranks in the top 100 in Sociology, History, and Social Policy and Administration. Law is in the top 150 programs, Economics and Econometrics is amongst the world’s top 200, and Business & Management Studies is in the top 450.

Rector Ignatieff added: “These rankings are testament to the dedication of our faculty in providing CEU students with an outstanding learning environment.”

The QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluate universities offering undergraduate and/or taught graduate programs, exceed minimum academic and employer reputation scores, and publish a minimum number of papers based on discipline. 51 subjects are ranked at universities across the globe.
