Krystof Dolezal is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Political Science, funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and a research fellow with the Scaling the Transnational project at the Centre Marc Bloch.
He completed his PhD at CEU with distinction and has held fellowships at Harvard, the Hoover Institution, the Institute of Human Sciences, and the European University Institute. Before returning to academia, he worked in Czech politics as a party strategist and advisor in the cabinet of the Vice Prime Minister.
Krystof’s research focuses on Eastern Europe, political ideologies, and the role of religion in politics. He is completing a book, Christian Democratic Option, on the Christian democratic legacy in Czechoslovakia, and developing a second project, Who Holds the Line?, on actually existing liberalisms in postcommunist Eastern Europe.
