Lela Rekhviashvili is a PhD­ candidate at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations, Central European University. Her doctoral research (working title: Informalization of the Countermovement: Institutional Reforms and Informal Economic Practices in Post-Revolutionary (2003-2012) Georgia), looks at how market-enhancing institutions influence small-scale informal economic practices. In the past few years she served as a visiting doctoral fellow at Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography and a research fellow at Center for Social Sciences. Her research interests include: political economy of development, informal economic practices and institutions, forced displacement, social movements.
