The Department of Political Science is unique place to study politics. Our programs have been ranked 29th among the worlds universities for political science and international relations in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) subject rankings and 7th in Europe. We also received an 'excellence' ranking from the prestigious Center for Higher Education Development in their 2010 survey.

Our curriculum examines questions of political theory, democratization, constitutional politics, political economy, mass media, electoral behavior, party politics, research methodology, and European politics. From 2016 onward, the department will host the ECPR Summer School in Methods and Techniques.

The department provides a variety of merit-based scholarships available to students from any country. These include full tuition and health insurance as well as stipends of up to 3,200 per year. Single or shared housing in CEUs Residence Center is offered to most candidates.
