Zoltan Miklosi received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from ELTE University, where he specialized in political and moral philosophy. His research areas concern questions of political obligation, distributive justice, and the basis of equal moral status. His current work focuses on the relational critique of distributive conceptions of justice, basic equality, and the basis of equal political rights. His recent publications include "The Problem of Equal Moral Status," Politics, Philosophy & Economics (2022), "Cosmopolitanism and Unipolarity: The Theory of Hegemonic Transition" (with Jelena Belic), Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy (2020), "Varieties of Relational Egalitarianism," Oxford Studies in Political Philosophy (2018), "Immigration and the Democratic Stability Argument," Moral Philosophy and Politics (2016), and "Collective Responsibility and the Scope of Justice," Ethics and Global Politics (2016). Since December 2021, he serves as work package leader in the Good Integration project funded by the Norwegian Science Fund. He has been teaching courses in introduction to political philosophy, cosmopolitanism and global justice, and democratic theory. In 2014/15 he was a Laurance S. Rockefeller Visiting Faculty Fellow at the University Center for Human Values, Princeton University.
