Political Science Postgraduate Specialization Program (Összehasonlító politikatudomány)
The aim of the specialization is to equip professionals working in the fields of public life, public administration, the media, in different organizations and institutions, to compare the social and political mechanisms of our age. Graduates of the training program will be capable to strengthen analytical-logical capabilities with regards to comparative analysis, to elaborate research plans, identify their main problems, to apply the basics of quantitative and qualitative methods, both for case studies and comparative studies. After completing this specialization, graduates will be excellent fit for jobs in government, public administration and local government positions, either as an analyst or decision-maker, working in research institutes or in the civil sphere. The completion of the specialization is a good preparation for doctoral studies, as well. The acquired skills can be particularly useful for those who want to work in international organizations.
Political Science Analyst Postgraduate Specialization Program (Politikatudományi elemző)
The program aims to train political science analysts, who can be successful not only in academia but also in non-academic jobs. Graduates can achieve significant results in social and political analysis, typically pursuing their careers in public service, the media, NGOs, political and cultural organizations, and private companies. The students in the specialization will acquire knowledge of empirical political science and political theory, learn about the types and theories of political institutions, master the theories about parties, social movements, micro and macro levels of political communication and study theories of individual voter behavior. Graduates of the training program will be capable to critically analyze and interpret research data, to develop and implement public opinion polls, to critically analyze and interpret research data, among various other skill.

Advanced Certificate in Political Thought
The Advanced Certificate in Political Thought (ACPT) engages in the comparative study of political thought from a variety of perspectives, both within and outside the Western canon. Special attention is given to the historicity of diverse political traditions but also to recurring themes and questions. Learning to recognize political thought, both past and present, as being time- and place-specific equips students, regardless of their major field of study, with additional analytical and methodological skills grounded in the appreciation of the contextual and intertextual aspects of diverse intellectual traditions. Beyond contextualization the students learn about comparative methods, addressing topics of political thought from intercultural and diachronic perspectives.

Specialization Religious Studies
The CEU Department of Political Science offers for students in the two-year MA Program the opportunity to participate in the Specialization Religious Studies (SRS). Coordinated by the CEU Center for Religious Studies (http://religion.ceu.hu/), the SRS awards a non-degree certificate in Religious Studies, complementing your degree in Political Science.
The SRS offers a number of scholarships to qualified students, applicants should indicate this in their application.
