David Ost is Professor of Political Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, and frequent visiting professor in eastern Europe (including CEU Sociology professor in the late 1990s). He has written widely on east European politics and society, with a focus on political economy, democratization, capitalism, and labor.
